ABOUT

Oscar-qualifying live-action short film NORTH STAR seeking key crew members to join our team. The 19 page NORTH STAR script has won multiple festivals (Toronto, Los Angeles and San Francisco). Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, P.J. Palmer - the film will shoot on a rural ranch in the Trinity Alps of Northern California near Mt. Shasta (approx. 6.5 hour drive from San Francisco). Cast is name talent.

 

This is a passion project meant to be a stellar calling card for all each person involved. Festival circuit and Academy campaigns will run through all of 2020.

 

LOG LINE: A rural rancher and his ailing husband, struggling against poverty and isolation, make a heartbreaking decision in order to preserve the dignity of their marriage. 

 

DEETS: 4 shooting days on location in late October. 4 or 5 prep days. 2 scout days. 2 or 3 wrap days. Looking for Key Crew to bring their experience and vision to collaborate on this project and to help build and lead each department for the shoot.

 

Non-union (except for actors, we are SAG signatory on a Short Film Agreement)

 

COMPENSATION:   NORTH STAR is produced by (twenty)2 vision, a 501(c)3 charitable foundation and fiscally sponsored by Independent Film Project (ifp.org). Contributions of goods and services (ie: kit rentals, gear rentals) and financial donations from individuals, companies and organizations to the production of NORTH STAR are fully tax deductible.
